Water quality has been exceptional. Water temperatures remained below 70 all seven days with a low temp of 63.0 this morning. The water temp isn’t the only thing that has cooled. The bite was significantly slower than last week. Only one small King was caught. Rowel decked it Sunday morning. There were no reports of Spanish Mackerel. Bonita, Whiting, Flounder and a few Cigar minnows are the species caught. Flounder were thick but the harvest season doesn’t open until Friday. Hopefully they will still be around. Whiting have been hit or miss but good catches were reported.

Our King Mackerel season seems to have ended. However, the weather system forecast for Friday and Saturday might be enough to bring a few stragglers around. We will have to wait and see.
